"Outer Adventure, Inner Journey" - Tales of a Love Affair with the Sea
Dr. Ugo Conti is an electronic engineer, an oceanographer, and a geophysicist by training at U.C. Berkeley and Italy's Rome University. Since his youth, he has had an intense affection for the sea. he will speak of this. His is not an idle affair. On one occasion he crossed the Pacific, alone, on a sailing inflatable of his own design - in record time despite some shark attacks.

Deep Ocean Expeditions, The Explorers Club, and The Explorers Club Travelers Program are hosing a black-tie event featuring High Definition footage, taken from deepdiving Russian MIR submersibles, of the wreck sites of R.M.S. Titanic and the German Battleship Bismarck plus the Rainbow Hydrothermal Vents along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
